20 genres
Spin the wheel to pick a random film genre from a list of 20. It runs from comedy, drama and action to animation, mystery and science fiction, and each genre has one equal slice.
Use it for movie night, when the family cannot agree on what to watch: spin, then pick any film in the genre that lands. In a film class, use it to give each student a genre to study or to write a scene in. Writers can use it as a prompt and write a short story in a genre they would not normally choose, such as a western or a heist.
Delete the genres nobody wants from the list box and the wheel redraws as you type. Choose Remove winner to build a month of movie nights with a different genre each time. Give a favourite genre a weight from 2x to 5x so it comes up more often.
Choose Remove winner and spin four times. You get four different genres, one for each weekly movie night.
Yes. Spin, then write a one-page story in that genre. A mystery needs a puzzle and a clue, and a heist needs a plan and a team.
Delete its line in the list box. If nobody wants a western or a musical, remove those 2 lines and the wheel shows 18 genres.
