Prize wheel

About this wheel

Spin the wheel to hand out one of 12 prizes that cost little or nothing. The list has a sticker, a special pen for the day, line leader, choosing the class song, a homework pass and more. No money and no sweets are involved, so every prize works at school.

Use it as a reward spin for good behavior, a finished reading chart, a class party or a game-day winner. Students can earn a spin, and the wheel decides which treat they get. A teacher might give one spin on Friday to the student of the week, and parents can use it for a family reward at the end of a chore chart.

Some prizes count more on the wheel than others. A sticker has 5 parts of the wheel, while the homework pass and extra recess have 1, so big prizes come up less often. To use your own prizes, edit the list in the box, one per line, and set each weight from 1x to 5x. Press Fullscreen to show it to the class.

Questions

Why do some prizes come up more often?

Each prize has a weight. The sticker counts 5x and the homework pass counts 1x, so a sticker is five times as likely as a homework pass on any spin.

Can I change the prizes?

Yes. Type your own prizes in the list box, one per line, such as "Read to the class pet". Use Save to My Wheels to keep your list in this browser.

Can I make a big prize rarer?

Yes. Give common prizes a higher weight such as 4x or 5x and leave the big prize at 1x. With 12 prizes on the wheel, a 1x prize comes up on a small share of spins.

Does a prize come off the wheel after it is won?

No. The wheel is set to Allow repeats, so a sticker can be won by many students. Choose Remove winner if you have only one of a prize.
