50 cities Checked 28 Oct 2026 Source: UN World Urbanization Prospects: The 2018 Revision
Spin the city wheel to pick one of 50 major world cities at random. The 50 cities are the 50 largest urban agglomerations in the United Nations World Urbanization Prospects 2018 revision, from Tokyo to Hangzhou, and the list was last checked on 28 October 2026. Each city has one equal slice, listed as City, Country.
Use it as a random city generator for a geography quiz, a research report on a city, or a family game of imaginary trips. For a class project, choose Remove winner so each student gets a different city. To spin one continent only, delete the lines of the others; the wheel redraws as you type. Press Fullscreen to show the wheel on a projector, then press the Space bar to spin.
The rule is one list: the 50 largest urban agglomerations in the UN World Urbanization Prospects, 2018 revision, ranked by their 2018 population. The list was checked on 28 October 2026. Hong Kong is listed under China, as in the UN tables.
Choose Remove winner under the list. Each city you land on leaves the wheel, so a class of 30 students can spin 30 different cities from the 50.
