Country wheel

195 countries Checked 28 Oct 2026 Source: United Nations member states

About this wheel

Spin the country wheel to pick one of 195 countries at random. The list holds the 193 member states of the United Nations plus the two UN observer states, the Holy See and the State of Palestine, and was last checked against the UN member states page on 28 October 2026. Each country has one equal slice, so every spin gives all 195 the same chance.

Use it for a geography quiz round, to give each student a country for a research report, or to choose a place for a family map game. To spin one continent only, delete the lines from the other five; the wheel redraws as you type. For a class report, choose Remove winner so every student gets a different country. Press Fullscreen to show the wheel on a projector, then press the Space bar to spin.

Questions

Is this list up to date?

Yes. It holds the 193 UN member states and the 2 UN observer states, checked against the UN member states page on 28 October 2026. Each country is listed once under one continent.

How do I give every student a different country?

Choose Remove winner under the list. Each country you land on leaves the wheel, so a class of 28 students can get 28 different countries. Teachers can also use Classroom mode, which keeps saved class lists.

Can I spin only one continent?

Yes. The page groups the 195 countries into 6 continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Oceania. Delete the lines of the other continents from the list and spin what is left.

Can I hide the country names on the wheel?

Yes. Turn on Mystery Mode in Settings. The slices show no names, so students can guess where the wheel will land before the name is revealed.
