Join images into one, stacked or side by side. On your device.
Vertical stacks the images from top to bottom, which is how you join the parts of a scrolling screenshot. Horizontal puts them in a row, left to right. Grid fills rows of 2 to 5 columns in the order of your list, so the last row may hold fewer images and stays left-aligned. The order in the list is the order in the result. Drag a row, or use the Move up and Move down buttons, to change it. The gap adds 0 to 64 pixels between images, filled with the background colour you pick. You can add from 2 up to 20 images. This tool only joins whole images. It does not crop, rotate, add text, overlap or blend them, and it has no collage shapes.
Photos and screenshots rarely share a size. With Match sizes on, every image in a stack or grid is scaled to one common width, and in a row to one common height, keeping its proportions. Match to Largest uses the biggest image as the reference, so smaller ones are enlarged and may look softer. Smallest shrinks the others instead, which keeps them sharp but gives a smaller result. With Match sizes off, each image keeps its own pixels and the Alignment control decides where a narrower or shorter image sits: start, centre or end. Any space left over shows the background colour. A 1000 by 500 image above a 500 by 500 one makes a 1000 by 1500 result when matched to the largest, and 500 by 750 when matched to the smallest.
Browsers can only make a picture up to a certain size, and the limit depends on the device. One side cannot pass 16,384 pixels, and the total area is capped at about 16.8 megapixels on iPhone and iPad and 64 megapixels on other devices. Ten screenshots of 1170 by 2532 pixels stacked would be 1170 by 25320, which is too tall on every device. The tool then makes the largest picture with the same proportions that fits, here 757 by 16384, which is 65 percent of the full size. You see that exact size, and a notice, before you press Combine, and again on the result. Splitting a tall result into several files is not offered. If you need more detail, remove some images or combine them in two rounds.
PNG is the default. It keeps every pixel exactly, but the file can be large for photos. JPEG is smaller for photos and is saved at quality 0.92, a high setting. JPEG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become the background colour you chose. The background is painted first for PNG as well, so transparent areas and gaps show that colour in both formats. Each image is opened, drawn and released one at a time, so only one full-size picture is in memory while the result is built. A photo that carries a rotation flag, such as a portrait phone shot, is drawn upright. The result carries none of the original metadata, such as location or camera model.
Add the screenshots, keep the direction on Vertical and Match sizes on, and set the gap to 0. Put the parts in order, top first, by dragging or with Move down. Press Combine and download one long PNG. If you have 10 phone screenshots of 1170 by 2532 pixels, the result is scaled to 757 by 16384 pixels because of the 16,384 pixel limit.
Your browser cannot make an image with a side over 16,384 pixels, or an area over about 16.8 megapixels on iPhone and iPad and 64 megapixels on other devices. When the full size would pass that, the result is scaled in proportion to the largest size that fits. The size line and a notice show the exact size before you combine.
20 images at a time, as a PNG or a JPEG. A 21st image is not added, and the tool tells you. The files together are also limited by device memory, about 500 MB on a computer or 150 MB on a phone.
PNG keeps every pixel of what is drawn. Images are only resized when Match sizes is on, or when the result has to be scaled to fit your device, so a matched or scaled picture is a resampled copy. JPEG is saved at quality 0.92, which is high but still lossy.
No. The images are read and drawn by your browser, on a canvas inside this tab. No request carries image data. The page counts visits with Google Analytics, using rough groups such as 2 to 5 files and never a file name or image.
