Split a PDF or pull out the pages you need. Nothing is uploaded.
Extract pages builds one new PDF from the pages you pick, in the order you list them: 3,1 gives page 3 first. Split by ranges makes one PDF for each range, so 1-3, 5, 8- gives three files, and ranges may overlap. Every N pages cuts the document into equal parts, such as 4 pages each: a 10-page PDF becomes parts of 4, 4 and 2 pages. Every page separately makes one file per page. Several files are offered as one .zip, with a download button for each file as well. A single result downloads as a plain PDF. Output names follow the original, for example report-pages-1-3.pdf, or report-page-001.pdf when every page is its own file. If N is as large as the document, you get one file with all the original pages, and the tool says so before you start.
Type page numbers and ranges separated by commas: 1-3, 5, 8-10. A range with nothing after the dash runs to the last page, so 8- on a 10-page PDF means 8-10, and -3 means 1-3. Pages start at 1. A range that goes backwards, such as 3-1, is refused with a hint to write it as 1-3, and a page past the end of the document tells you how many pages the PDF has. You can also click pages in the grid. Shift-click selects everything between two pages. The box and the grid stay in step: clicking page 4 after typing 1-3, 5 rewrites the box to 1-5. While you type, your text is left alone; it is only rewritten when you click in the grid.
The tool copies each chosen page into a new PDF instead of drawing it again. Page size, rotation and content come across as they were, so a landscape page stays landscape and a page stored with a 90 degree rotation keeps it. Text stays text and images are not compressed a second time, so quality does not change. Pages you did not choose do not appear in the new file, and links to them are removed. Parts of a left-out page, such as a picture or font that the PDF stores once for several pages, or an attached file, can still be inside the file where special software could find them. If a left-out page is confidential, run the result through Compress PDF, which rebuilds every page as a picture. Bookmarks are not kept, fillable form fields may stop working and their boxes may look different, and files attached to a page are not carried over. This tool does not split by bookmarks, by file size or by blank pages, and it does not remove passwords: a password-protected PDF is refused with a message asking you to remove the password first.
The PDF is read and cut by your browser, in this tab. There is no upload step and no server that receives the file. The page counts visits with Google Analytics, using rough groups such as 1 to 10 MB, never a file name, a page range or a page count. Your device's memory sets the limits. The tool warns before opening a PDF over 200 MB or with more than 1000 pages, and it works on one file at a time. Page previews are small images drawn only for the pages on screen. Splitting a long document into one file per page can create hundreds of files; above 200 files the tool warns that the zip may be large on phones.
Add the PDF, keep Extract pages selected and click the page in the grid, or type its number, such as 7. The button reads Extract 1 page. You download a plain PDF named like report-pages-7.pdf, not a zip.
Page numbers and ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. A trailing dash runs to the last page, so 8- on a 10-page PDF means 8-10, and -3 means 1-3. Pages start at 1, and a range cannot go backwards: 3-1 is refused and you are told to write 1-3.
Yes. Choose Every page separately. A 7-page PDF gives seven files named report-page-001.pdf to report-page-007.pdf, offered as one .zip. The numbers have at least three digits, so a 120-page document ends at report-page-120.pdf.
No. This tool does not remove passwords. A protected PDF is refused with a message asking you to remove the password first. Open it in your PDF reader, save a copy without the password where you are allowed to, then add that copy here.
No. The chosen pages are copied into the new PDF, not drawn again, so text stays text and images are not compressed a second time. Page size and rotation are kept. Bookmarks are not kept, and fillable form fields may stop working.
The tool warns before opening a PDF over 200 MB or with more than 1000 pages, and you can continue or remove the file. The real limit is your device's memory: a phone copes with less than a computer. Only one PDF is split at a time.
