How never have I ever works

Never have I ever is a party game where one player says something they have never done and everyone who has done it admits it, usually by putting a finger down. This generator reads the statement for you, so the group never runs out of ideas. It holds 324 statements written for it: three levels, six categories (classic, travel, school, work, food and funny) and 18 statements for each pair. The page picks one at random using your browser's secure random source when available, so every statement still on the list is equally likely. Everyone starts with five fingers up in the classic version, and the person with the last finger up wins, or the group simply laughs and shares stories.

Family, teens and adults levels

Family is written for all ages, with things like losing a shoe, building a pillow fort or dropping your ice cream. Teens suits older children and covers sending a message to the wrong person, school deadlines and first jobs. Adults is cheeky but clean: reply-all emails at work, a missed flight, burning dinner. None of the statements is sexual, none is about crimes, drugs, self-harm or illness, and none names a brand or a real person. The levels are a guide and the people in the room know best, so anyone may pass on a statement. An adult should be nearby when children play.

No repeats and the Already asked box

With No repeats on, the page does not read a statement twice until every one that matches your choices has been read. It remembers by writing each statement into the Already asked box, which you can read and clear. With a level and All categories there are 108 statements, so the 109th press shows a note and starts the list again; with one category there are 18. Clear empties the box, and so does reloading the page: nothing is saved. The earlier statements of this visit also show in the list under the card, so you can look back at one you missed. There is no Back button, and the tool cannot add your own statements.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play never have I ever?

Everyone holds up five fingers. One person reads a statement. Anyone who has done it puts a finger down. Play until one person has no fingers up, or just go for 10 rounds and swap stories. Press Next statement for the next player.

Are there never have I ever questions for kids?

Yes. The Family level has 108 gentle statements, such as never having slept through an alarm or built a pillow fort. None involves dating, alcohol, money or anything frightening. An adult should still be nearby.

Are the adult statements explicit?

No. Adults means grown-up everyday moments, like pressing reply all by mistake or missing a flight. Nothing is sexual, and nothing is about crimes, drugs or self-harm. Anyone can pass on any statement.

Why did a statement not repeat?

No repeats is on, so each statement is written to the Already asked box and skipped until all 18 in a category (or 108 across All) have been read. Clear the box or turn off No repeats to draw with replacement.

Can I choose a category like travel or work?

Yes. Pick one of Classic, Travel, School, Work, Food or Funny under Category. Each has 18 statements per level. School suits classrooms, Work suits office socials and Food suits dinner parties.

Are the statements saved or sent anywhere?

No. They are chosen in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Your level and category are saved in this browser; the Already asked list is not. Google Analytics counts visits and copy presses, never statements.
