Play Spider Solitaire online with 1, 2 or 4 suits

Build K to A runs of one suit across ten columns. Pick 1, 2 or 4 suits, play a numbered or daily deal, with unlimited undo, a hint and a score. Your game is saved in this browser.

How it works

  1. Pick 1, 2 or 4 suits in Options, or open the Daily deal
  2. Tap a card to move it with the run on top of it, or drag it onto a column; tap the stock to deal ten cards
  3. Build king-to-ace runs of one suit until all eight runs are gone

How Spider Solitaire works

Spider Solitaire is played with 104 cards on ten columns, and you win by building eight complete runs of one suit from king down to ace. At the start 54 cards are dealt: the first four columns get six cards and the other six get five, and only the last card of each column is face up. The other 50 cards wait in the stock as five deals of ten. You may put a card on any card one rank higher, whatever its suit, so a 6 of hearts can go on a 7 of spades. You may only pick up an ordered run of one suit, such as the 9, 8 and 7 of hearts together. When a column holds all thirteen cards from king to ace of one suit, that run leaves the table by itself. When you move the last face-up card off a column, the face-down card under it turns face up.

Dealing, empty columns and the score

Tap the stock, press Deal or press D to put one new face-up card on every column. This tool allows a deal only when every column holds at least one card, so an empty column has to be filled first; a message tells you when that is why a deal did not happen. An empty column takes any card or run. The score starts at 500. Each move costs 1 point, and dealing from the stock counts as a move. Each finished run adds 100. The score never goes below 0. A win in 120 moves would score 500 minus 120 plus 8 times 100, which is 1180. Undo takes a move back together with its point, so undoing never costs anything. A game keeps up to 5000 moves, which is far more than a normal game needs.

One, two or four suits

With 1 suit all 104 cards count as spades, so a card goes on any card exactly one rank higher and the whole game is about ordering. With 2 suits there are four sets of spades and four of hearts. With 4 suits there are two sets of each suit, and runs only join when the suits match. More suits mean more cards that cannot move together. Your best score, best time and win streak are kept separately for each suit count in this browser. Hearts and diamonds are red and spades and clubs are dark; Four-colour suits in the options gives diamonds blue and clubs green.

Deal numbers, the Daily deal and fairness

Every deal has a number from 1 to 999999, and the same number with the same suit count always gives the same layout, so you can replay or share a deal; type any number under Options. The Daily deal is made from today's date on your device, the game name and the suit count, so everyone with the same date and suits plays the same cards, and each suit count has its own daily. A daily counts once a day toward your daily streak. Each deal number is shuffled with a seeded random shuffle. This tool does not check whether a deal can be won, and not every Spider deal can be, especially with 4 suits. If a game looks stuck, use Undo, or Restart this deal, or start another number.

Hints, controls and what is saved

Hint suggests one move in words and marks the cards and the column. It follows simple rules, such as finishing a run, turning over a face-down card and joining cards of the same suit, so treat it as a suggestion and not as a solved path. On a phone, tap a card to move it: if only one column fits it goes there, and if several fit, tap the column you want. You can also drag. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys to move between cards, Enter or Space to pick up and drop, Escape to cancel, D to deal, U to undo and H for a hint. The clock starts at your first move and pauses while the tab is hidden. The game is saved as you play, the last 8 games are kept, and nothing leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I deal new cards in Spider Solitaire when a column is empty?

In this game you cannot deal while any column is empty, so first put at least one card on every column. A single card is enough. After that, tap the stock or press D to put ten new cards on the ten columns.

Is every Spider Solitaire deal winnable?

No. Some deals cannot be won, and more so with 4 suits than with 1. This tool does not run a solver to check deals. If a deal is stuck, use Undo, Restart this deal, or play another deal number.

How does scoring work in Spider Solitaire?

You start with 500 points. Each move, including each deal from the stock, costs 1 point, and each finished run of 13 cards adds 100. The score does not go below 0. A win in 120 moves scores 500 minus 120 plus 800, which is 1180.

Can I undo moves in Spider Solitaire?

Yes, as many times as you like, back to the first move of the deal. Undo also gives back the point the move cost, and the clock keeps running. A game holds up to 5000 moves.

What is the difference between 1, 2 and 4 suits?

With 1 suit every card is a spade, so a run can be built on a card exactly one rank higher. With 2 suits there are spades and hearts, and with 4 suits there are two sets of each suit. You can place a card on a card exactly one rank higher in any suit, but only same-suit runs move together, so more suits is harder.

How is the Daily Spider Solitaire deal chosen?

It is made from the date on your device, such as 2026-10-15, the game name and the suit count. Everyone with that date and suit count gets the same cards. Only the first finished daily of each day counts toward your streak.

Are my games or scores uploaded anywhere?

No. The game is processed in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Your game in progress, your options and your best scores and times are saved in this browser's storage on this device. The page counts visits with Google Analytics, never your cards or moves.
